Celebrating Two Remarkable Leaders: The Retirements of Maree Mulvoy and Dennis Stacey
As Mr. Chain enters an exciting new chapter, we pause to recognize two extraordinary leaders whose dedication, vision, and leadership shaped the company for decades. With the recent investment of Plasticade into Mr. Chain, Maree Mulvoy, Board Chair and CEO, and Dennis Stacey, Vice President, have announced their retirements—confident that the company is in strong hands and well-positioned for the future. Their thoughtful preparation for this transition is a key reason they are able to step back, knowing the legacy they built will continue to thrive.
While change is ahead, the foundation they created continues to guide Mr. Chain forward.
Maree Mulvoy: A Legacy of Leadership, Growth, and Opportunity
Maree Mulvoy’s career spans more than 50 years and reflects a rare blend of legal expertise, financial leadership, and people-first values. After graduating from Notre Dame Law School, Maree built a successful career in public accounting and law, ultimately becoming a tax partner and department leader at nationally respected firms.

In 2003, Maree returned to M-R Products, Inc., the plastic manufacturing company founded by her father, Michael T. Russo, in 1960. What followed was a period of meaningful growth and transformation that strengthened both the organization and its culture.
During her tenure:
- Sales and headcount more than tripled
- Product offerings and market reach expanded
- A strong internal culture of mentorship, opportunity, and long-term thinking took root
Maree served as President until 2023 and continued as CEO and Board Chair through December 2025, helping guide Mr. Chain through its successful transition to Plasticade. Her leadership emphasized stability, responsible growth, and developing people at every level of the organization.
In reflecting on her retirement, Maree expressed deep gratitude for the family members, mentors, colleagues, and emerging leaders who shaped her journey. Of all her accomplishments, she has shared that supporting others as they learned, advanced, and succeeded remains the most meaningful.
Dennis Stacey: Four Decades of Innovation and Manufacturing Excellence
Dennis Stacey’s impact on Mr. Chain is both extensive and enduring. Joining M-R Products in 1983, Dennis quickly earned a reputation for deep manufacturing knowledge, hands-on problem solving, and an unmatched understanding of plastics and production processes.

Over more than 40 years, Dennis:
- Advanced from Manufacturing Plant Manager to Vice President
- Oversaw plant operations and process improvements
- Helped establish long-standing safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Became the inventor behind every Mr. Chain patent developed in the past 15 years
Known for his mechanical intuition and willingness to take on any challenge, Dennis played a critical role in turning ideas into durable, practical products. Just as importantly, he was a mentor—sharing his expertise generously and helping others grow alongside him.
As Maree has noted, Mr. Chain would not be what it is today without Dennis’s contributions. His influence remains embedded in the products, processes, and facilities that continue to serve customers every day.
A Thoughtful Transition and a Strong Future
Together, Maree and Dennis helped prepare Mr. Chain for its next phase—ensuring continuity, stability, and long-term success. With Plasticade’s acquisition, Mr. Chain will continue manufacturing in Copemish, Michigan, supported by the same dedicated team and the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
What’s changing is the strength behind the company—expanding manufacturing capabilities, reinforcing the supply chain, and creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.
With Gratitude and Best Wishes
While they will be deeply missed, Maree Mulvoy and Dennis Stacey leave behind a legacy defined by leadership, integrity, and a genuine belief in people. Their combined impact shaped not only where Mr. Chain has been, but where it is headed next.
From everyone at Mr. Chain, thank you, Maree and Dennis, for your decades of service, guidance, and dedication. We wish you both a fulfilling and well-earned retirement.
